Right folks, I am an animator. Not the best, because I can't find anyone nearby me with real world experience who would want to teach it to me, yet. Sort of a bummer. So I've had to STRUGGLE and try my ABSOLUTE HARDEST to be the best I could with such limited resources. It's not too shabby, but I know I could always do better, provided I had some better software, but whaddayagonnado?

Not much webspace to showcase ALL of my stuff, So posted here are the creams of the crop, chopped down to the smallest they can get in file size, without totally ruining the image quality.

A Night by the Lagoon - Storyboard

The storyboard I kinda whipped up for "Kahawai Popoki" (roughly translated; hawaiian for river cat) Animating could take me for-EV-er. So I'll keep this handy, kinda a cute storyline. It's a very rough cut, a little too fast and there's no sound, but it get the point across.

Kahawai wakes up, spies a little bird, catches him and plays with him for a bit. Then fate intervenes. The branch she's on breaks, she falls still clutching the little bird, and drops straight into the lagoon below. When she get to shore the little bird is lifeless in her hand. She lays it on the ground, stricken with grief weeping uncontrolablly, but her tears of repentence fall on the bird, giving him new life, making him into a bold warrior. He sees her crying and helps her up. When she realizes who he is, she gives him a great big hug, relieved to see he is alright. And so they stand together in the moonlight, content and happy. The End.

Visit the IGP "Movie" Site - A collection of stills from the first prototype movie, based on the online issue. Done as a side project to experiment with 3D animation. This trailer, however, has better model construction, better animation styling, more of the characters from the comic and basically just a real sense of what to expect from the comic series, when I get it published.

Von Hymlich is my model mad scientist. He's got his own line of innovative toys coming out on the market. Actually, I just got this crazy idea for a commercial parody one day, sort of in the style of Ren and Stimpy, (Log, Dog Water, etc.) to be played inbetween a later movie. After a while I'll make the Chemistry Set one I've got storyboarded in my files somewhere. Just for fun.
